Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV)
17 “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
This morning the Lord stirred my heart to encourage you. I think it’s difficult for us to admit that life sometimes is hard. It’s not that we expect it to be easy, but we also don’t anticipate the constant hiccups, trials, & test that seem to constantly come at us. Remember the game “Mercy,” where you would grab the hands of someone and bend them back with all your strength until it hurt too bad for them to resist the urge to cry MERCY? Life feels like that often times. Our jobs make us want to cry Mercy… Our spouses make us want to cry Mercy… Our finances make us want to cry Mercy and we wonder when will God come through for us and give us relief.
God simply asked me a simple question this morning. Is there anything too hard for me? The question wasn’t because he didn’t know the answer, but it was to remind me of his faithfulness & to shake the cobb webs of doubt off of my confidence in him. My dear friends, life is hard but God is still good.
Here’s my word of encouragement for you today! What may look impossible right now is nothing but an opportunity for God to work a miracle in your life. Nothing is too hard for God! You keep hanging in there. We’ve got a world to change.
